Microchipping is available to all pet owners for $10 (cash or credit card) per pet. Appointments are available on Wednesdays from 10:00am - 5:00pm by calling 850-891-2950, extension 0. Cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets are welcome!

Additional Info:

  • Dogs must be on a leash and cats in a carrier
  • Animals must be at least 2 months old for a microchip
  • All microchips are Petlink & are pre-registered
  • Each pet is required to have a separate appointment

Spay/Neuter

If you need assistance in having your pet spayed/neutered please reach out to Be the Solution who can offer vouchers for lost cost surgeries. Please note that ASF spay/neuter vouchers are not available at this time.

Euthanasia Services

Our pets provide us with unconditional love and wonderful companionship for many years, but sadly, all pets eventually experience health, behavior or aging issues. Oftentimes pet owners must make the difficult decision of putting a pet to sleep. As a compassionate kindness, we do provide a humane, end of life euthanasia service for owned pets. This respectful, private procedure is professionally administered by one of several on-staff Florida Certified Euthanasia Technicians who have been professionally trained in this compassionate procedure.
We offer euthanasia without the owner present by appointment (10:00am - 5:30pm daily). We ask the you bring the following:

  • Your pet's favorite blanket or another comfort from home to provide him/her that extra added peace during his/her passing is encouraged.
  • For all euthanasia requests, please bring a government issued photo identification card.
  • Your veterinarian's diagnosis to confirm the euthanasia reason. If one is not provided or we cannot reach them via phone, Tallahassee Animal Services retains the right to deny the euthanasia request.
  • $25 fee (cash, check or credit card). If your pet has bitten in the prior 10 days to the euthanasia, there is an additional $55 fee due to processing the animal for rabies testing.
  • Completed euthanasia request form.

We do not offer pick up or in-home services for euthanasia. Many pet owners chose to bury their pet's remains on their property, often planting a flowering tree over the site as a memorial to their pet (Florida Statute requires that animal remains must be buried at least two feet underground). You may also leave their remains with us for communal cremation. If you have any questions about the service, the required documentation or would like to make an appointment, please call our Front Desk at 850-891-2950.
