TPD Officers Investigate Shooting Incident

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a shooting incident which occurred Saturday night. Officers responded to Cascades Park, located at 1001 South Gadsden Street, at approximately 8:23 p.m. after receiving a call regarding two victims with gunshot wounds inside the park. The officers located two young adult male victims and immediately provided medical attention to them. The victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers began an on-scene investigation which included speaking with witnesses and interviewing the victims. Information relayed to officers on scene indicated the shooting occurred at a location away from the Cascades Park. The investigation is still ongoing and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
This case has been assigned to investigators with TPD's Violent Crimes Unit. Investigators are asking anyone with information about this case to please call them at 850-891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.
