TPD Investigates Crash on Tram Road (Updated 11/29 @ 4:03 p.m.)

As the investigation continues, investigators are releasing the name of the driver and passenger involved in this accident. The driver James Miller remains in critical condition in a local hospital. The passenger Charles Rucker was released with minor injuries.
This is still an active investigation and TPD investigators are continuing to interview known witnesses and process evidence collected from the crash scene. They are urging anyone who may have information about the crash to please contact them at (850) 891-4200 or via Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.

All lanes near the 4900 block of Tram Road have been reopened. TPD would like to thank everyone for their patience. Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.

The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a traffic crash near the 4900 Block of Tram Road. Upon arrival TPD and Emergency responders immediately provided medical attention to those involved. Two subjects were taken to a local hospital with one suffering with serious injuries.
TPD is asking motorists to avoid the area for the next several hours as the roadway is closed. TPD will provide notifications when the roadway is clear.
Traffic Homicide Investigators have been called to the scene and have assumed the investigation. TPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit.
