County and City Officials Discuss Recovery Efforts from Hurricane Michael
WHAT: Today at 1 p.m., Leon County Government and City of Tallahassee officials and Emergency Management staff will report on local impacts from Hurricane Michael and discuss community recovery efforts. The press conference will take place in the Public Safety Complex, located at 911 Easterwood Drive.

DETAILS: Hurricane Michael made landfall around 2 p.m. yesterday near Mexico Beach as a category 4 hurricane with Tallahassee-Leon County experiencing tropical storm force wind gusts for 12 hours. County and City crews are working around the clock responding to miles of downed wires and thousands of trees, blocking many roads. Leon County and City of Tallahassee will inform citizens of Michael’s impact and recovery efforts.
